The questions merchants ask most often, answered plainly.
Can FeedParity change my products or my feed?
No. It reads both catalogues and writes to neither. There is no code path in the product that creates, edits or deletes a Shopify product or a Merchant Center listing. That is the point of it: a checker that can also change things is not an independent check.
What Shopify permission does it ask for?
read_products, and nothing else. Not orders, not customers, not
checkouts. If Shopify returned a broader grant than requested, the connection is
refused.
Why does the Google permission look like it can write?
Because Google publishes only one Merchant Center permission,
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/content, and there is no read-only
variant to request. We would use one if it existed. What we can tell you is what our
software does with it: every call against your catalogue is a read, and no code path
modifies Merchant Center data. The privacy policy spells
this out in detail.
What happens when I disconnect?
The stored credential is deleted immediately, and for Google we also ask Google to revoke the authorisation upstream. If Google cannot be reached at that moment, the revocation is recorded as an outstanding obligation and retried until Google confirms it — we do not just forget the token and leave the grant live in your account.
Do I have to pay to see my results?
No. The free scan is one complete verification of your catalogue with every finding shown in full. Nothing is blurred or held back. The Monitor plan is for what happens afterwards: daily re-verification, history, and alerts when something new breaks.
How do I cancel?
From the billing portal, reachable from the Billing page in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and access continues until then.
I have forgotten my password.
Use the password reset on the sign-in page. The emailed link works once and expires after an hour, and completing a reset signs you out everywhere.
Still deciding?
Running the free scan is the fastest way to answer most questions. It takes one Shopify connection and one Google connection, and it costs nothing.
